More noticeable is the increase in detail for characters and armour sets, especially for Orc Captains and other opponents. In the game's general environments there is increased detail in the terrain and in structures, which can go unnoticed in general gameplay. The big question here is whether or not this increase in texture detail is worth it, which is a resounding yes from us if you have enough VRAM to handle it.
In Middle Earth: Shadow of War, the game's highest levels of texture detail is available as a separate download, allowing PC gamers to not waste space on the add-on if it is not in use, which is great news for those of us that have limited storage space on our systems. In the previous two pages, we did not use the Shadow of War's free 4K texture pack, mostly partially because it requires 8GB+ of VRAM, which only a minority of PC gamers possess but also so that we could discuss it further here separately.
