If we've experienced the release of dopamine through any level of achievement or success (example - winning a game) then we have likely experienced the release of dopamine. Perception is formed throughout our life and reflects greatly upon our past experiences. If we find pleasure through what we are doing, then the brain will continue to release this chemical in response to our perception. How we perceive the outcome as good versus bad tells our brain whether or not to continue the behavior. The brain only responds to the behavior when repetitively performed and releases dopamine when our response is positive. Remember: The brain does not view the behavior as good versus bad - only you do. Repetitive, consistent, positive responses are the keys that unlock the benefits of this chemical.
The greatest benefit from dopamine is the impact on our brain when we develop healthy habits.
